If I apologize again for not posting anything here more frequently,I may chase you away for good. Therefore,I am not gonna do that but instead tell you where I have been and what I have been doing.
I am still blogging.Blogging is fun and it takes a lot of western life pressure off my head when I know that there is somewhere I can write and have one or two people read what I have written. Its an open secret for some of you who knows me or have been reading my blah blahs that I love writing.I may not be very good at it but tell you what,I am the most determined writer…in making.Would you love to read my fictional or non-fictional materials? See I have already written a whole paragraph without telling you where I am at.I can feel some of yo time-chaser almost screaming “Jeff, get to the point”. I understand,I wish I could do just that. But I am an African, remember. No hurry in Africa and therefore for this case, inside Africans no matter where in the world they are!Suprised eenh…
Let me try then to be on the point and brief.Sometimes in May this year I decided to establish another Swahili blog. But this time I wanted to completely stay away from politics and polltrics.I guess its safe for me to say I hate politics and not cause an uproar among them politicians and some of my friends who thinks I am a born politicians and I am just denying myself by remaining in the closet.Bad news is that they will have to wait…a lot longer because the more I see innocent people dying, women and children suffering because of selfish decisions made by politicians, the more I run from politics.
So I decided instead of educating myself and my people through politicians’ eyes, why not try something else?Like lets say life and times of Tanzanian celebrities, dead or alive? After 12 nights of consultation with my 12 angels(one a day) we agreed that it was a good idea. With no minutes www.bongocelebrity.com was born. There is where I am,talking and writing about famous faces from Tanzania.
Two quick warnings; bongo means Tanzania…not a direct meaning though. Therefore the blog is full of swahili which is a national language of Tanzania and now spoken by over 100 million people worldwide. You can see how much audience I could get there, can’t you?Did you do some maths when in school?
As a result of that,my time is now very limited.Remember you,I got a wife and a kid to take care of,a daytime job to help me pay my bills,a hobby to keep up with and hungry readers (for new contents daily) and some harsh winter weather to cope up with.Winter is one season that openly reminds me that I am away from where I was raised.
But I am still working with time management issues so that I can have time to write here as well…at least once every day.Isn’t that what we want?I am trying to avoid a word “busy” here because I feel like it has bad psychological effect in my whole attitude towards time.I use word “occupied’ instead.
Nevertheless, for some of you who speaks Swahili or can just read the picture and figure out the rest, www.bongocelebrity.com is a place for you too.Feel free to pass there and say hello. Most Tanzanian understands and speaks very good English. Sometimes I wonder why we don’t speak a word of Germany although German colonized us as well as the British.Stay tuned, I am occupied trying to understand why black people in Ontario wants separate schools for their kids.Haven’t you heard about that?
